I was having a really rough time ... so much aches and pains ... Chiropractor gave little relief ... Doctors could not tell me what's wrong ... steroids and pain medication made me nauseous ... feeling so sick ... Houston weather was not helping one bit with record high heat ... YUCKS!!
Despite all these, my spirits were up because I was receiving so many packages ... is it Christmas already!? The packages contained your wonderful donations for Krystal and Alec. My friends at work also bought up a bunch of tickets for the raffles that will happen at the benefit this Saturday. That great feeling made me jump right off my bed and into crafting mode!
So what is my contribution to the Krystal's auction? I had wanted to make a set of 'mother and daughter' bags but that inspiration didn't come about so I ended up making this teacup pin cushion c/w an antique-looking tape measure and a pair of embroidery scissors.
Of course when Pei noticed I was no longer sick in bed but up and crafting away, she had some projects for me too! Pei will be moving into a new dorm, one with a little living room and wanted some cushions. She bought the fabrics some weeks ago, just waiting for me to get well :)
While I was working on Pei's cushions, I wanted to surprise her with another set of cushion covers. I used some silk material. Pei really love these comfy cushions and now wants some bedding to match!
Now, can someone tell me why I gave that girl options!?
Dear Evelyn,
I am so proud of you; despite being unwell yourself, you make the extra effort to help Krystal. I can only pray God will double bless you and may our Jehovah cushion all your pains and aches so that you can touch more people's life. Count it a blessing that you are able to give options to Pei and I am sure she will be touched by your generosity.
Shalom
Marq

What joy to see you back here! But I'm sorry you've been hurting...I hope you are feeling a little better now. You are an inspiration by all that you've been doing on Krystal's behalf. I'm so glad to have been a small part of all that you've been organizing. And it is wonderful to see here all the donations coming in--beautiful creations! As are your own! The teacup pin cushion is such fun! It is a cheery piece, and whoever wins it will love having it at their craft table. Your cushions are terrific too. The set of red ones really catch the eye. The silk pair is great too. Pei will do doubt love having these in her new room, and that you made them. You give options because your heart is so full and generous, you cannot help but give more...and what a splendid quality that is you possess! Can't wait to hear how the auction goes and see what you create next! ((HUGS))

Sorry to hear about the discomfort, I hope you'll be able to find out what's causing it. May I also join in to say that your dedication towards helping Krystal is such an encouragement to everyone of us. Thank you!
The teacup cushion is really cute, the button print makes it so complete and your cushions are irresistable that's why the matching bedding must follow and of course, I agree it's because you are generous that's why you gave Pei the options! :-)
((warm hugs)) it's really warm here too!
p.s. looks like my knots are still somewhere out there, wonder if they'll make it...

I am so sorry to hear about your pain, and hope you are feeling better soon. Yes, it really does look like Christmas! On yesterday I was wondering if the package made it ok, and it did! I see it peeking out on the right hand corner of the photo. Thank you so much for all you are doing, and thank you for allowing me to be a part.
Hugs...
Beverly
